Trial and Tribulations
Good Morning, how are you today? Life seems to settle down; however, there are moments, especially last week, when I was frustrated. Jman went back to work minus weekends. We are waiting on a few items in the mail that would be helpful. Every day, I need to remind my self that those items which would be beneficial financially that this money is not ours but our heavenly Fathers.
Ever since I was a teenager, I have loved these verses from James 1. 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, three because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
I have experienced everything throughout my life, but with every good thing, some trials also come along. From pushing graduations dates back to waiting on a check to finding an apartment last minute. And mostly during these times, I set my hopes too high only to have them come crashing down. However, during these times that I learn patience and the true meaning of waiting on God’s timing.
I remember these verses were the first ones that I found and spoke to me. Other scriptures I have memorized were given to me or advised to me learn, or it was a program for Sunday school. These were the ones I found and clung to them. The reassurance of God sending trials to help make me a better and more grown person helped me see the light at the end of the tunnel. And stress less about worrying things that are out of control.
It is also reassuring when I struggle with worries that after the trial, I would be stronger.
I hope this brings you to hope today, as life is hard right now. I hope life evens out, but I also hope you know that God is waiting with open arms to help carry the load. God will lighten the load. He will strengthen you through whatever trials you are facing.
James 1: 2-7 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.
TTFN God bless and keep you.
