Good Afternoon friends, We are on day 15 of Shelter in Place. There are moments when I am anxious and nervous about this new normal life. However, like most, I am looking forward to when things go back to normal, or we accept the new normal. However, one thing I am looking forward too is going back to Disneyland.
Here my ten traditions that we always do at Disneyland.
First We always get coffee/ tea and breakfast and then people watch near the castle. Now mind you, we try to take a couple days at the park, so we usually do this the second day. However, it has become a mainstay. It’s at this moment we get to be grateful that we are visiting the happiest place on earth. It also helps us to remember to be aware of the other people who are joining us that day.

Another thing we always do, We ride big Thunder a couple of times. With all the new attractions at Disney, this classic is usually less crowded. It’s one of the rides that we always make time for. However, one go-to thing is to ride it at Night. The cloak of darkness makes a thrilling ride.

While at Disney, keep your eyes open for the themeing, it could be an Xwing, a Comic newspaper, or even just the windows on Main street. Pay attention to the themeing. It’s really amazing what you can find. It’s usually deliberate and wonderful.
If you are visiting Disneyland, make sure you ride Mr. Toad’s wild ride. This opening day attraction is my Hubby favorite ride. It is a pretty quick ride, and so many times, the line isn’t very long.
Eat Dole whip. Dole Whip I didn’t try until I was an adult. However, this classic is fantastic and just the right spot on a hot day. The beautiful thing about Dole WHip is it also Dairy Free. So that means Jman can eat it too. Better yet head over to the tropical hideaway and eat some Dole Whip and watch the jungle cruise boats.

Ride the train through the entire loop. This is an excellent way if you are tired of walking to see the park. We love to ride the whole circle. But we also like to take the train to avoid walking all the way around the park. This is a great way to catch your breath.

Try new restaurants. There are burgers and fries at the Disney Parks. But there are hidden Gems like the Bengal BBQ, Tropical Hideaway, and even the Milk Stand. Don’t be afraid to try new foods and explore. Ranging from Snack stands to expensive Restaurants. Disney offers a variety of foods for everyone’s palette.
We love to meet characters. We will stand in line to meet characters or just bump into them. Some of the characters we always try to see are Ariel, Mickey, Goofy, and Donald. Some of our unexpected favorites characters to meet are Red, Spiderman, Gaston, and the Country Bears. Keep your eyes open to see them walk around characters, and if you have time to stand in line, do it. It creates excellent photos. We also love to take pictures at the Golden Hour, when the castle is gleaming. Jman also loves to take picture at the sword in the stone.
Finally, watch for the unexpected. Whether it be running into characters or magic that the staff does or even other guests. We’ve had complete strangers give us pins, wish us congrats. We have gotten special attention and had a magical moment. It makes the experience all the more exciting for the trip.

Neat pic’s.
