Disney World 2019

Disney World 2019

Things I learned this Trip to Disney World.

    I’m back!! I was on vacation. My family and I  went to Walt Disney World for a week, and I finally got my sleep again. It’s was so fun!!! I unplugged, made memories, and subsequently enjoyed my family time. However, I learned some things along this trip.

Having a carryon that can fit under the seat is a lot easier than in the overhead bin. I was given this bag for my birthday. It’s sturdy, colorful and can carry everything that I needed for this trip. And I was off the plane quickly without worrying about knocking someone in the head with my carryon.

I linked where you can buy this bag here. It’s awesome:

    The first thing on my list is packing an umbrella or poncho. We got caught in a rainstorm twice, and we were soaked. Now we have rain in California but never the same as Orlando’s. I debated buying a poncho and packing them and convinced myself that it wasn’t needed. Buy the ones at Amazon or the grocery store. Pack it and take it with you into the parks. So when the rainstorms hit you are covered.

    It is hot in Orlando. The first two days, I wore my tennis shoes and ended up with a heat rash around my ankle. I should have looked into some comfortable walking sandals. I wore some crocs, and I felt so much more relaxed but since they were knock offs my feet end up with blisters. Sandals would have been a great idea.

    Take care of yourself. Eat a good breakfast. Not donuts and strawberries drink lots of water, don’t push yourself. I had a couple of days that I felt yucky while walking around the park and then regretted it later in the day when we headed back to the hotel. Eat meals regularly, and soak up as much AC as possible. Eat good food.

    Finally, Unplug. I didn’t check emails, I took pictures and spent time with family. However, don’t spend the entire vacation from the view of the viewfinder. Take part in the moments and watch for the magic. Enjoy the snacks, enjoy the characters, and finally breath. I honestly was able to have a break, and it was beautiful.

    Exodus 15:2 New Living Translation (NLT)

The Lord is my strength and my song;

    he has given me victory.

This is my God, and I will praise him—

    my father’s God, and I will exalt him!

TTFN and God Bless You and Keep you
